Sissi Empress of Austria. Elisabeth of Austria (also known as Sisi) (1837–1898) was the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph I, and thus Empress of Austria, Queen of Hungary and Queen consort of Croatia and Bohemia. Beautiful and celebrated Empress Elisabeth has long since become a cult figure.

Franz Joseph (1830-1916) was Emperor of Austria and king of Hungary. Franz Joseph would become the most respected and most beloved member of the Habsburg dynasty, ruling the Austrian Empire and then Austro-Hungarian Empire for 68 years, the third longest reign in the history of Europe.
